I believe in the power of presence in the therapeutic relationship—really being WITH someone and making space for the expression of thoughts and feelings.  My approach to counseling is holistic in nature—tending to the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

I draw from my studies in nutrition, counseling and life/wellness coaching.  These tools help me come alongside clients on their journey of self-discovery in a curious, non-judgmental way.

With a master’s degree in counseling and psychology and licensure in school counseling, I have spent more than twenty years supporting elementary-aged students in the public school system.  Some of the areas I’ve supported students in are:  Anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, emotion recognition and management, and mindfulness.  Currently, I am working toward my LPCC.

My certificate in life and wellness coaching (Health Coach Institute) has helped me encourage clients to move towards their health, wellness, and life goals, with the understanding that each person is creative and resourceful, and the expert in his/her own life.

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults.  I’m excited to work in partnership with clients in a compassionate, caring way.
