Nicole Butterfield, MA

Hi, I’m Nicole. Owner and Head Therapist at Held Therapeutic Services and Proud
Partner of Parasol Wellness Collective.
In my office, you’re allowed to feel and express those feelings safely (laughing, crying,
anger, etc.) You’re also allowed to not know how you feel. You’ll be met with
compassion, empathy, real-life examples, and usually some sarcasm, if that’s your jam.
A pivotal moment in any session is when clients acknowledge the weight of their life’s
“stuff.” Whether it’s a complex history, the burden of trauma, or a whirlwind of emotions,
I’m passionate about creating a safe and nurturing space for you. No matter the
quantity of “stuff” you carry, I’m dedicated to fostering vulnerability and authenticity in
your healing journey.
Throughout my career, I’ve gained valuable experience in various areas, including grief
and loss, trauma, navigating life’s transitions, providing support to LGBTQ+ youth, and
offering Christian counseling services when requested; While working with several
diagnoses including Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and Bipolar for individual 10 and
older.
Educationally, I hold a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a
Bachelor of Arts in Community Psychology from St. Cloud State University. I’m currently
in the process of receiving extensive training in working with Complex Trauma and
Dissociation through the AIR Network Training Institute and have goals to pursue ADHD
and Integrative Mental Health Professional Certifications in the near future
