• Gwen Olson, LMFT

My approach stems from the idea that our relationships both past and present impact who we are as individuals and are important aspects to explore in therapy. I believe that all behavior is a form of unspoken communication due to an unmet need. It is our responsibility to find out how to meet those needs. As a therapist, I will work collaboratively with you in setting goals to improve your mental health.

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults and families experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, peer/family conflict and school difficulties. I have a special interest in working with middle school and high school girls experiencing anxiety.

I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) since 2011 and have worked in the mental health field since 2001. I received a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth. I have worked with individuals, families and groups in a variety of mental health settings including outpatient therapy, partial hospitalization, day treatment, and residential treatment.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 children exploring local parks and golfing.
