Grace Pool, BS Marriage and Family Therapy Intern
I am a Marriage and Family Therapy intern working towards a Master of Arts in Adlerian Counseling and Psychotherapy with a specialty in Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling. I started my education by getting a Bachelor of Science in Family Social Science at the University of Minnesota. There, I was able to learn about the important connection between relationships, environment, and well-being. My passion is to help people along all walks of life to develop nurturing relationships with themselves and those around them with compassion and understanding.
I believe in a holistic treatment model that focuses on care for the mind and the body. I borrow techniques from Adlerian, Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In relationship with clients, I aim to walk alongside you in a collaborative relationship as you find the strengths within you that will support you through life’s challenges. When you come to me, you will be met with encouragement, acceptance, and genuine care.
I am passionate about working with people who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and struggles with body-image and self-esteem. If you find yourself in need of some support, I would be happy to work with you. I will be offering both in-person and telehealth options for sessions.
